I got mine real cheap, like 9.99 at the Value Village thrift store, a Garmin C-550 Streetpilot with Bluetooth. The upgrades are free. You can find them on ebay. A cig lighter adaptor with built-in FM traffic info expands it's versatility, and you can use the touch screen to make phone calls via the Bluetooth in your cell phone.Robert 1982 Westfalia Sent from my Nokia phone -----Original Message----- From: Daniel Rotblatt Sent: 10/28/2011 19:05:45 Subject: Re: cheap GPS That is a good deal. The question is; how old is the map? Magellan charges $80 for a map upgrade, so you're basically stuck with what's in it. Never-the-less, it is a tempting deal. We've had an earlier Magellan for about 4 years now and like it. It's simple. This newer one is $55.
