A good many folks still speak the old tongues. Plenty of them still hold town festivals, most in the fall of the year (so you are mostly 10 months away). Head for the tiny burgs, like Westphalia, Boerne, Hill Top, Montague, West, Greune. Most of those have at least one church dating from the mid-19th century, some of them the old fashioned "painted" churches, with the interior lavishly and lovingly decorated by hand. In these places the Old World is still evident. Take your bus and go! mcneely ---- Karl Wolz <wolzphoto@q.com> wrote: > Frau Wolz opines that this could be a fun adventure. > > ... -- David McNeely
