non California  models have ( yes, air cooled Type IV engine I think..plus no front lower grill says it's air cooled ) ....points, and no oxygen sensor I think..

I was shocked when I moved from Ca to Wa to see and Electronically Fuel Injected engine ..
with points in the distributor ..
and no 02 sensor ....really crude.
All Ca models have electronic ignition and 02 sensor.
I have retrofitted 1.9 waterboxer distributor and electronic ignition to a Type IV engine .
