Hi Art- responses below. Good luck with the purchase, and if you give your location you may find some experienced eyes more than happy to help investigate potential candidates. "Its an automatic. should I run like hell? I havent found any serious warning signs on bogs or in research so far." I had 3 manuals before the latest auto trans, and I was pleasantly surprised by the auto. My understanding is they're robust, simple units, so no need to run away. Some good discussion is here (bear in mind that other sources are less pessimistic about the longevity of the manual): http://www.gowesty.com/library_article.php?id=116 "Many recommend upgrading from 14 wheels & tires to larger. Its a heck of an expense. Any thoughts?" If the tires are good (properly reinforced/rated and not too old) I wouldn't make the change. The vans perform acceptably with the stock wheel sizes IMHO.
