I cut a small piece of wood, I think 3/4" thick, by around 1" square and put a magnet on the back.� When not in use it sticks to the back of the license plate door and when I need it I jam it between the hinge and the body.� The wood does not mar the paint and the magnet keeps it in a convenient spot.
