John, in that case, I would run the pressures recommended by VW for the factory 185 tires. I have 195x14 load range D, maximum pressure 65 psi tires on my camper, and I run 43 front, 53 rear. The van handles very well. The lower pressures that VW recommends for the 205 are for reinforced sidewall tires, not truck tires. Those tires have a maximum pressure more like 55 psi. mcneely ---- John Meeks <vanagon@GMAIL.COM> wrote: > Dennis, > > The rear tires are 195/70 R14 and are marked load range D with a max cold > pressure of 65 psi. > > John Meeks > > On Thu, Dec 1, 2011 at 6:45 AM, Dennis Haynes <d23haynes57@hotmail.com>wrote: > > > Check the rear size again.
