My fear! A lot to consider - or reconsider! Seems my engine is holding out really great except for a few - huh, routine maintenance issues. Sometimes breaking down away from home is a good thing. New perspective or eyes. Each problem with the auto trans occurred after a road trip & towing 1200 lbs. That shouldn't be a problem eh? Been thinking about asking what the max towing capacity for an 83 Westy with a 1.9L waterboxer & auto trans. Stops it just fine. tom On Dec 7, 2011, at 9:38 PM, John Rodgers <inua@charter.net> wrote: > Bad enough that the troubles were local.
