Today went well. I aired up the flat tire this morning, checked it an hour later and it only lost a pound. Went to a Doctor appointment, came back, checked it again, it only lost a half pound. Decided to drive it to have both rear tires replaced. It was a nervous trip. But she made it. Spent an hour there, but the technician, Aric, was very thorough and didn't hurry, making sure everything was done right. I did write "bad" on the bad tire and "spare" on the other tire in chalk just to make sure it went smoothly : ) Have had many bad experiences at tire shops. Like the Discount Tire in Salem, who I observed loading the removed tires in bags into my van, after I told the front desk I wanted the best one kept as a spare, and the other discarded. Or the Ford Dealer in my home town of McMinnville who put the stock tires on instead of the special order tires I'd waited three weeks for. I always inspect the work before I drive away. So Lola drives like a dream now, new rubber underneath makes such a difference! All ready for her trip to Lincoln City (Devil's Lake State Park) for New Years Eve weekend.
