I have a silver fabric shady boy and I like it a lot. But there are advantages to the more full sized awnings. They cover more area, doh, but more specifically do a better job along the van than the shadyboy. With the shadyboy, there are gaps above the rear side window and the passenger door where rain can get in. The shadyboy is a well made awning and I like how it looks stowed and deployed (less RV like if you know what I mean). But perhaps as you will be living out of the van, the fiamma would be better. alistair On 2011-12-15, at 1:55 PM, Art wrote: > Hi all, > > Im looking for a side awning, preferring one that will permanently mount on the outside. Im going to be mostly living out of this for a couple of months at least, and like the idea of not taking up storage. So far Ive looked into the Fiamma from GoWesty which looks neat and expensive, and a less expensive one from Country Home Campers called the Shady Boy. Its less about the money and more about the quality and practicality however. > > Any suggestions? > > Art
