All I do is take the lines off and go to the flaps with them .. in most cases ..to me . it is Work on the Van first .. then go get the right parts, not the other way around as I so commonly see . and of course it makes sense to have a clutch or brake parts in hand first.. but 'usually' ...it's find out what is there and going on first.. THEN go after the right parts for the particular situation. and sometimes .it's not even a part.. it's just cleaning and adjusting and tweaking ....very often actually. And just imagine all the parts in people's garages and storage areas they got to put on their van 'someday.' and never gotrountoit. ----- Original Message ----- From: "david hardy" <david@PLANETMIND.NET> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Monday, January 09, 2012 3:17 PM Subject: Re: brake lines and hoses? > Found this useful info one time: > > http://www.vanagonwiki.net/wiki/Brake_lines_replacement > > david > > -----Original Message----- > From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf = > Of Mike B > Sent: Monday, January 09, 2012 2:19 PM > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Subject: brake lines and hoses? > > I checked the beach I checked the van to get laid and thebomb.com I = > can't find any procedure for brake line replacement I need to know how = > long each line is so I can buy enough brake line oil to replace all my = > line on my 1987 westy if any of this sounds funny it's because I'm using = > my voice on my verizon Wireless not sosmartphone > > -- > ------------------------------------------------ > David Hardy > Planetmind Internetworks > Nedernet, Inc
