Subject:Re: Gas Brand Preferences?

In the early 90's a guy I worked with had his car fail the Illinois
smog test, his mother-in-law told him to run a couple of tanks of
"name brand" gas through it and test it again. It worked.
Then again when my '86 syncro failed in '90 the smog guy told me to
go drive it for 20 min to half and hour and come back & avoid
puddles. Warmed up like that it passed fine.

I always liked the mother-in-law story <g>.
