Jeff, you got the information that you passed along from Youtube. One thing that almost everyone has learned is that Youtube may be a source for all kinds of odd claims that may or may not have anything to do with reality. It is not a matter of trusting you, but trusting Youtube. When I got the note from you, I immediately checked the GoWesty web site. There was nothing there concerning a leap year sale. I called GoWesty, got a voice machine, and left a message asking for confirmation of the sale. I never got a call back. I emailed GoWesty, and asked for confirmation of the sale. I never got a response. That seems like enough to me for thinking the Youtube spot might be some kind of mistake. But, I sent a reply to the Vanagon list to try to find out if anyone had actually successfully made use of this purported sale. When I finally got someone responding who said that he did, I tried to make use of it myself. The item I wanted to buy was listed as out of stock. The web page still made no mention of a leap year sale, but since others say they used it successfully, I suppose they must have. mcneely ---- Oxroad <oxroad@GMAIL.COM> wrote: > The one thing I learned from this is when I say GoWesty is having a sale > and here's the code you can trust me. ;) > > Best, > Jeff > 83.5 Westy > LA,CA > > On Wed, Feb 29, 2012 at 11:53 AM, Oxroad <oxroad@gmail.com> wrote: > > > via facebook GoWesty announced a 15% off sale on "most items" in > > celebration of Leap Day.
