Are you referring to Fram filters? Because they've got a reputation for being significantly leower quality. I wouldn't put one on my van, unless it was an emergency. Here is some research that convinced me.

In response to Paul, I don't know of anyone who carries Mann filters in the Austin area, but you would do ok with a wix, which someone else  recommended.
