If you can replace the housing you can change the bearings. With a little
imagination a press is not needed. In fact you can do this with the bearing
housing in place.

Mine are getting noisy after many years and 215k miles in the 86 van.  I was
wondering if any list vendors or mechanics will sell the rear wheel bearing
housing with new bearings and seals in it on an exchange basis?  With all
the pressing involved, this seems like a good idea for a service to offer.
