I eliminated the city water fill after the big hose got torn during removal when I took out the Westy interior. Santa brought me a replacement but I have not yet installed it. The inlet port on the tank is corked and taped shut and we just fill from inside the van for now. When using the faucet now there is a slight dribble out the city water inlet so that hose or valve might need to be checked but it's actually too sllght to worry about until after I complete a list of other chores I deem more important. Stephen --- On Tue, 4/3/12, turbowesty <turbowesty@GMAIL.COM> wrote: From: turbowesty <turbowesty@GMAIL.COM> Subject: Disconnecting the city water line To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Date: Tuesday, April 3, 2012, 3:16 PM One problem, two questions: I'm having a problem where water from the tank is going out both the faucet and the city water inlet. I assume (and believe someone told me last year) that there is a one way valve that's supposed to prevent this however I haven't been able to pinpoint where it is. I'm going by 76.18 and 76.21 in my Bentley. It appears to be a few inches down the the faucet on one of the water lines, is that the correct place for me to look? I don't see anything there in my camper, the small grey hose is unbroken and the larger hose doesn't have anything other than the clamp holding it to the faucet. I am hoping to persuade it to work again If I find it however I may need to just close off the city line, is it as simple as plugging the bottom of the faucet for that line? I know others have eliminated the city water and I assume it's not difficult. We're getting ready for a trip down to N.C. and this is the last thing I need to resolve (hoping to stop in @ Everybus a week Thurs before we head home too). AdTHANKSvance...
