OK, since my last rant, I went back out and I am DONE! Well, okay, I have two screws left over, as you may guess, the bottom rear corners. I'll get those someday when I am in a better frame of mind. Besides, now I get to do yard work the rest of the day! The canvas does look good, nice and tight. At least a satisfying job, you can see the results, unlike my Friday job of resealing the gas tank (but that was needed, no more filling up and seeing gas pour out from the top of the tank) Thanks for everyone's words of encouragement, but seriously, I hope I never have to do another canvas replacement again!
