Move the Syncro

Hi Jon ; Diane thinks I'm crazy and should just let you folks take care of it, but I am having a hard time with you sending (paying) someone all this way. You are talking 6 hours at least. I checked with AAA and I have 2 scenarios. (1) I can have AAA tow me to FAS. First 100 miles free. I/we/you pay for the remaining ( appox .) 40 miles @ $3.00 per mile. Total cost about $120.00. We can work that out. Although I feel I stopped driving as soon as my gauges told me to, maybe I should have noticed the lack of heat sooner. (2) I can have AAA tow me to the Kennebunkport pike travel plaza on the specified day I come to PU the bus. You can have someONE meet me there, trailer the syncro , and drive us to you. Tell me what you want to do. Do you have any problem with a regular tow vehicle, or should I require a flat bed (could be harder). BTW, I have been reading ( vanagon . com ) about the troubles folks have had with canvas replacement. I think it was wise to have you guys do the job (professionals). I toyed around with just doing it myself, but my time got real tight with all else to do before going out west. I'm sure that saved me much sweat and my neighbors from hearing me say those words!
