To all: It's nice to return to this group of helpful and knowledgeable people after hibernating through the winter. My son and I have several "car-camping" trips planned for this season; me in Mellow Yellow, my beloved camper, and him in his Jeep Cherokee, his four-wheeler vehicle of choice. And we also have a few backpacking trips planned together, as well. He is helping me with needed repairs and upgrades on the van. His help is greatly appreciated. The advice and thoughtful "how I did it" blogs that members of the Vanagon community have contributed to the group wisdom have been invaluable. Thank you, all. -- Jack "Rocket j Squirrel" Elliott Bend, Ore. 1984 Westfalia.
