Hi all Just got done stripping (best I could) and painting the muffler brackets with VHT header paint. http://www.vhtpaint.com/products/flameproof/ Figured I might paint my new Ernst muffler with that stuff. Has anyone actually found that painting a new muffler helps it last any longer than "normal"? My understanding is that if one does mostly city driving (short trips) the muffler may rust out from the inside anyway making painting it moot. Anyhow. Figured I'd ask now before installing the part.
