FWIW, I wouldn't touch a new/reman VW diesel engine from anyone else BUT
VW! The last three I have gotten from VW were hard to distinguish from
new and were German-built. I've not had any defective or poorly rebuilt
engines from VW in my 30 years of running a VW repair shop. Several
others like GEX, AVP, and Overland, yes, bad news more than once each.
