Just to be clear(er), the rough end of my rad. rod is on the very end face, not on the threads. you are welcome to my old rod (doesn't sound right, does it?) if you can't fix yours. Mind you it is an awkward lump of iron to ship across the continent :) As David mentioned, new sleeves will be needed - 56mm X 25 mm, 19 mm bore diameter. I made another out of stainless yesterday - thats one reason the old rad. rod was on my bench - was playing around with an idea fro a mod to the rubber bushings and sleeve arrangement. alistair On 2012-05-11, at 3:00 AM, ralph meyermann wrote: > Ok thanks!! The po was a real piece of work!! Its not bad,it just there's a spot weld welding the nut in place on the threads?? Delicate work with a grinder/cut off wheel/flap disc and my thread file I should be able to get it. If it gets too boogered up Ill try to talk you out of those!! > > Velma 82diesel 1.6 na westy > > >> On May 10, 2012 9:33 PM, "Alistair Bell" <albell@shaw.ca> wrote: >> >> i happen to have my old '82 westy's (was diesel like yours) radius rod on the bench.
