That's great because I wasn't kidding about the spacer sleeves.  Mine
were shot, had to turn up a new pair.  I wonder if packing them in
SilGlyde or something else non rubber-rotting might not be a bad idea
so the water can't get in.  They're there so you have something to
tighten up against, to get the right amount of compression on the
rubber doughnuts.
