UPDATE: Chris S. sent me a shot of the item(s) in question. Thank you, Chris. If the linkage is correct (and Picasaweb has gone through some changes since last time I visited), one of the two mystery baffles should be visible at <https://picasaweb.google.com/116691745702392292959/May142012?authkey=Gv1sRgCMvSkMWq2fPiVw> -- it says here. So, (A) what does this thing do for a living?, (2) what is it called? (iii) is it in Bentley?, (D) how come it has, like, six screw holes but doesn't appear to screw to anything? (5) how is it that only Chris S. and I are the only ones on this august and sage list who are willing to acknowledge the existance of these thingies? ======== Update ends ============ In addition to the two radiator side baffles and that lower deflector baffle, my '84 also has a couple of smaller baffles that go next to the headlights. What do these two pieces do for a living? How do the two smaller baffles mount? They were kinda flopping about when I started working on the rad, now that it's time for to re-install and I can't figure out where they go? They're kind of chewed up but I can find three screw holes on each one, but no matching holes near the rad. Anyone got a picture? -- Jack "Rocket j Squirrel" Elliott Bend, Ore. 1984 Westfalia.
