In my mind, turnkey is an engine with mounts, accessories, wiring harness and whatever else is needed on a pallet that YOU can install easily...That is what the original Bostig's were. Same can be said with the RMW setup..All shipped with the eng, harness, etc so it can be easily bolted in place rather than having to source all the parts and bits yourself. Install not included, but a rebuilt 2.2 is a definite plus for a 12 or 15 yr old motor and raises the price by a fair amount I think Daryl of AA Transaxle 425-788-4070 "On the cutting edge of Old technology" 86 Syncro Westy w/Turbo Zetec in the trunk 90 Doka Tristar w/2.5 Subie -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Ben T Sent: Thursday, May 24, 2012 6:18 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: Turnkey Proposal Rocky Mountain Westy On May 24, 2012, at 4:42 PM, Dave Mcneely <mcneely4@COX.NET> wrote: > 80 hours at $80/hr (usual for shops in this part of the world) is $6400. so your "turnkey" would have been $13.4K to be really turnkey. > > Hmmm...... . > > mcneely My point exactly. Call it what it is. I'm this application, Jon's $12K Subie "turnkey" vs. Harry's (approx.) $13.4K Zetec "turnkey". McIntosh Apples vs. Red Delicious Apples. Not apples vs. oranges or apples vs. apple sauce. BenT
