fwiw, I have an 87 Syncro Doka Canadian model here that indeed does list '205/70R97R Reinforced' on the tire sticker. and I have a European Syncro was-a-factory 1.6 TD , about a 90 or 91 year model .. it only says '205/70 R14' and nothing else. re Tirerack's blessing if running 42 psi for Dennis ... is those under-rated at at 50 psi .. or are they under=rated at 32 psi in their opinion , or what ? perhaps 'at least 42 psi' is what was meant. and even still.. there are times with a syncro when lowering tire pressure is highly desirable of course .. though usually speeds are very low in those situations. aloha to all, S.
