I need to register my van in Newfoundland, and I'm having trouble finding
insurance.  The agent who got me my home insurance is supposedly looking,
but she's not too efficient.)  I called the biggest company in town,
Johnson Insurance, and they said the van is too old (she's an '89).  Huh?
I've never heard of a company not insuring older vehicles.  I asked one
vanagon friend in town, and he's with Johnson - maybe he was with them when
his van was younger?

Is there anyone in Newfoundland who can recommend an insurance company?  Or
in Canada?  Do I have to go to a company in Newfoundland, or can Canadian
insurance companies operate in any province?  (I'm used to the US system
where insurance is state-based.)

I'd appreciate suggestions!
