I ended up getting a Male/Female oil pressure adaptor fitting that had more =
thread on it which caught what thread was left in the block. Put pipe tape o=
n both pieces and it seems to be holding

Breathing a big sigh of relief and will be going camping tomorrow!

Thanks for the feedback.
John.

Bummer. If there is any chance there is enough thread left to hold the send=
er, use pipe goop, but keep it on the sender threads and out of the engine. =
If that doesn't work epoxy the sender or a proper size plug in and find a =
new engine before it starts to leak again.

Good luck!

Subject: Oil Pressure sensor

Just purchased my first Westy with some oil leaking out of the oil pressure =
sensor. (81 air-cooled)

Bought a new sensor thinking it was just the plastic part only to find it wa=
s leaking through the threads which are now toast. Any suggestions on how to=
 fix this?

Thanks - John.
