In my 1991 Volkswagen Vanagon GL Campmobile there is a long, narrow space (maybe 6"x6"x20" to the left of the overhead air conditioning enclosure. Behind that space is a much smaller space where air conditioning hoses run. Has anyone used this space for storage at all? Obviously, anything that might damage the lines is a definite no-no. But I was trying to figure out if there was any reason not to put anything there like rolled up nylon ropes or other soft stuff. Is this space needed to be open for reasons having to do with the air conditioning? I know not to put anything on the "shelf" behind the air conditioning enclosure that could block the circulation in that area. I do keep my broom on that shelf. Thanks, David McNeely
