Harry, Find the offset (ET) and centerbore. Factory Audi wheels have a 57.1mm centerbore. Vanagons require at least 66mm. Some aftermarket wheels are centering rings which can be simply removed. Others like the factory wheels need machine work. In some cases where the offset is large enough, a suitably thick spacer with the correct size centerbore can be used.
