Being sold and = installed by auto parts stores and VW repair shops=2C the wrong one is caus= ing overheating problems especially in very hot weather conditions as it bl= ocks the flow and bypass in the thermostat housing with its larger bottom d= isc. Please check yours if it's been replaced recently before you overheat= and ruin your motor. One found at West River Westys by sleuth Denis Hayne= s and another today here in Almonte on a Westy that was from Michigan. Som= e vendors do not know their parts=2C beware ! > > > Cheers=2C > > Frank Condelli I realize you are talking wbx (gas) thermostats here but is it possible for an AAZ TD is affected too. Since I had my thermostat housing and thermostat changed last month, I seem to be running hotter BUT we have had extremely hot and muggy weather so I can't really tell. I don't notice it around town but I don't do that much driving. Long distance highway driving seems to go up. Housing and thermostat from FRISCO's. Tell me that the problem you are talking about is not present in diesels. I don't know enough!!! Thanks Zee Zee that's ZedEE or DAIZEE aka gtadaizee
