With the right adhesive and prep work, the thin stuff may be good for sound deadening in doors and such too?? I decided to try Elephant Bark, and I love it! http://www.rubbercal.com/elephant_bark.html It's 1/2" thick, tough as nails, and cleans up easily (easy to remove and hose off too). It feels good on bare feet and things don't slide around on it. I got the red dot version, but now I wish I'd gotten candy corn. Only caveat is that it smelled strongly from the recycled tires it's made from, but after a month of airing out it's now odorless. Stuart '85 Westy
