RE: Vanagon Automatic Accidentally Into Reverse
Above a certain speed (30 mph) the reverse blocker should be engaged to
prevent damage.  Below that, though scary, no damage is normally going to
be caused.  The torque converter got a surprise and was stressed a bit but
if everything is working right now not to worry.
