One thing you're forgetting in all this. Electric only may not aways work. That's the biggest problem we had last year in Mexico with our WACO electric compressor fridge, NOT ENOUGH SUN to keep the batteries charged up. I know, hard to believe in Mexico, but it does occur. Propane, there's ALWAYS propane ! We can rent a 60 lb tank for peanuts and run off of that for months at a time and the propane truck comes by often enough to re-fill the tank if need be ! There are too many variables to rely on electric only. I'm about to replace my WACO compressor fridge for this fridge <http://www.lehmans.com/store/Appliances___Gas_Refrigerators_and_Freezers___Unique___Unique_Freezer_Refrigerator___1136755?Args=> On 2012-08-26, at 3:38 AM, neil n <musomuso@gmail.com> wrote: > Thanks for that estimated street price Frank. > > If the RM 4181 M is the same as the Electrolux...... > > From the Dometic "Brochure" re: the RM 4181 M: > > "Cooling capacity: "refrigerator +7C at ambient temperatrues up to 32C. As for working in hot climates, we used this fridge last year on our 6 month 18,000 km journey into Florida, Mexico and across the northern US. ALWAYS performed as expected.
