I apologize for my somewhat confused earlier post. I was referring to swap outs that Dometic recommends, and on their table listing those, there is no RM 4181. But that is in the U.S. And that is where I saw that they do not list a swap out for the 182, giving the information that I gave. The closest equivalent in size is their 2183, but it still would not fit, and I take them at their word that the vent would not work. The table is here: http://www.dometic.com/c17faeab-a5a2-436b-a032-b28317a7cff0.fodoc perhaps someone less mechanically challenged than I am could find one that would be a close fit, and make it work. mcneely ---- Alistair Bell <albell@SHAW.CA> wrote: > I looks like the temp differential is not that much different than my old 182. I measured a 20 - 23 C differential with outside temps 25 - 28 C. I bet any improvement in the cooling ability of the (stupidly expensive) RM 4181 is due to better insulation. > > (link to my test data - http://shufti.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/fridge-temps.jpg) > > alistair > > > On 2012-08-26, at 12:38 AM, neil n wrote: > > > Thanks for that estimated street price Frank. > > > > If the RM 4181 M is the same as the Electrolux...... > > > > From the Dometic "Brochure" re: the RM 4181 M: > > > > "Cooling capacity: "refrigerator +7ºC at ambient temperatrues up to 32ºC. > > (Corresponds to climate class SN) " > > > > So for this Celsius Challenged Canuck, that's a ~ 45º F differential and a > > 44ºF internal temperature.
