>Don Hundt says "...but it was sure nice to have a Gin and Tonic on day 5 with fresh ice." Hey, that's enough to sell me! >Jeff Palmer says "Neat unit but I'm trying to get away from those disposable canisters. ... And they're not recyclable which makes me crazy. Agree! I even hate that with the Coleman Stove I have. I have a pop-top "Weekender", one nice aspect about the electric fridge is not having to add a propane tank. However, since most of my trips are short and not remote, I'll use block ice (self made or bought) in a Coleman 5-day cooler. I put a sleeping bag around the cooler during the day. Keep it in the shade if bear or raccoons are not a problem.just did 5 days in the 90's, and while I restock with bagged ice on day 5, most of the containers from home still had ice in them 9 days later (the last 2 days the cooler was not open however.
