A rather specific question, but it's a fairly common (I won't suggest "popular') tire.

And I'm sure it's been covered a billion times.  Tried thesamba and BTDT, but couldn't get my answer in 1/2 hour of search.

Therefore, what are your recommendations?

Max pressure on the tire is 65 psi.  My label on the van ('84 Westy) says 40 psi front/ 48 psi rear.

I presently have them at 40 psi front/ 45 psi rear.

Sorry for the oft-repeated inquiry, but I would appreciate your experiences/theories/facts and, of course, opinions.  Tires have 4,000 mi/9 months on them.  Bought from BusDepot last fall.
