OOOOPS ~ many times ~ am I in trouble?

I did notice not long ago that those charging wires from the
alternator were extremely hot

so I added a heavy gauge wire from the alternator direct to the
starter post. Was the heat

in those wire possibly dew to having done the NONO in the past? 90Westy
