Well, yes, it is the Middle of Nowhere, but points north are perhaps the Middle of Really Nowhere.

Maybe the person in need can find a mechanic closer than Bakersfield, maybe San Bernardino or thereabouts.

I have mostly found AAA to be reliable for mapping, but this one was just nuts.
