Gas pedal was acting funny for a few days. Take off from rest real slow. Should have looked at it, but didn't. Today entering a freeway the pedal went to the floor and I barely moved, van just idled. Managed to pull over to the left in the triangular area between the freeway and the on-ramp. Waited an hour for AAA. Fortunately my a/c saved me in the 100 degree AZ heat. Got towed to a close by but non-VW shop. They say it's a broken cable and will be $250 and 2 days to fix. Expensive cable. Think its time to get my belts replaced. I'm on a run of bad luck.
