Back when I was 12 or so, a Volvo dealership opened in our town. To
demonstrate the quality of their product, the dealership announced in the
newspaper that the oil would be drained from a Volvo car (this was about
1962) and that the car would be driven over a nearby mountain (Monte Sano,
for those who know Huntsville Alabama) and back to the dealership in what
is today the Medical District. Probably six miles round trip, maybe eight,
but the mountain road is steep and long. The public was invited to the
event. They did it, claiming no serious harm to the car.

Think of doing that today.
