I was an American Flyer kid .. long ago. Lionel and American Flyer were like Ford and Chevy. American Flyers were considered superior by some since they used two rails for tracks, and I think Lionel had 3 . I think American Flyer trains cost more too. Lionel is still in business ? that would be an interesting thing to research. Wonder where their stuff is made now ? (wink wink ) . Last time I played with trains I was about 300 miles south of Winnipeg in Minot, ND. On the air force bass just north of Minot actually. Several lifetimes ago . Always thought about getting into trains (used to have a couple as a kid) but haven't had time to research what type. And now I have 12 hours to take advantage of a 50% off sale!!! Act now!!! > > Anybody care to throw in their two cents about trains? Thanks as always! > Jeff > 85 Westfalia GL, Winnipeg
