I have camped down there in my Vanagons more than 100 times and I can suggest a route or two for a Baja leg of your trip. With the time you have available you would need to stay in the Northern half. I suggest 3 nights at least, one on a Pacific beach, one in the desert, and one on the Sea of Cortez. The time of year makes some difference as it can be too hot in some places until Oct. In the dead of winter some places can be cold, even snow in the northern mountains, but not along the coasts. PM if you would like more info.
