I have the bearing housing on the bench, looking to disassemble to clean and repack. Bentley 42.4-5 says "remove outer bearing inner race and then spacer". Inner race slides out, but spacer does not. I have it cleaned up an it looks clearly like the spacer is too wide (diameter) to slide through that outer bearing. And of course, absolutely too wide to clear inner bearing. Since you can't get a drift in to knock out either bearing with the spacer there, how does it come apart? This seems like a dumb question but I just don't see it. What am I missing? Thanks for any help...
