There's just enough room to get a box wrench in there. Be sure it properly tightened when done.

Subject: bottom alternator bolt on 91 Westy

Hi all,

I need to replace the alternator on my 91 Westy (manual).   Can one of
you folks tell me what the trick is to removing the bolt.   I can't see how
to
access behind the alternator.

My best guess is that you have to remove the power steering pump bracket?
