I wish him a speedy recovery.  Our family went through this with our son
back in April.  He was originally sent home from emergency with a
misdiagnosis.  Long story short he ended up in ICU for 4 days as it had
already ruptured when they sent us home.  To complicate things further, we
brought him back in with a bowel obstruction from an adhesion 2 months
later.

My thoughts are with you David,
