If you're the kind of person who wants to live in a van down by the
river...in Botswana, then this might just be your vehicle. The Westfalia is
almost overland ready straight from the factory, it has a kitchen and a
fold out out bed so you're comfortable nearly anywhere. This "Westy" as
they're called has a distinct advantage over the other models on the market
right now�it has a TDI engine out of a VW Jetta, so it has more power, and
most importantly the engine produces significantly better fuel economy
numbers. The Vanagon is incredibly easy to repair, and parts are available
nearly everywhere in the world.
