Mike - THis is what happened to me - the person helping me the first time used an impact wrench to tighten the nut - well it wasn't tight enough. While we are on this topic - I've also been told you should never tighten these with the wheel on the ground - well how is it possible to do this with the wheel in the air - that's enough torque that at some point the wheel spins. I had to put mine on the ground and block the wheels to get it to a high enough torque (I'm ready for ya - all - flame suit is on). I know I could have done this job without the fancy torque wrench but I had forgotten the math and I needed to see with my own eyes that this was torqued properly - the issue that started this entire adventure for me was that the wheel came off at 55+ MPH - and then I nearly had that issue while traveling after I didn't get ti tight enough the first time. -- Thanks, Jeff '85 GL (Gertie) '78 Bus (Melissa) Patty's Bus
