improbable fixes: Oh Boy- here goes the flood gates!
It was a Vanagon- the shift kept kicking out of 4th.  So I put a bungeee
cord from the shift to behind the vent betwixt the driver and passanger and
stretched the bungee into third and let the bungee hold it in fourth.
This lasted for many months,
The "death of fourth" happened leaving WVA going though the mountains.  Saw
a lot of people waving as they passed me having a top gear of third,
Or at least I tink they was waving.
