Wow! Dude I hope you tried every other effort at communicating with Bostig.  Our install was a LONG series of slight fixes, adjustments and tweaks.  Which in the long run has turned out to be the most reliable part of the 1985 van!!  And hey, did you notice that it is a VW..... there will always be something to deal with.   Please try all other options before resorting to this!  Those Bostig guys are the good guys of the world.
