I know instructions say tall enough to be over the height of > the radiator vent - but just how tall/long/high is that? Does anyone know?? There is an answer to this. If you make too long, it won't fit in the back of the van. :) So the westy version is a few inches shorter. I built one after I swapped my radiator. It makes the process easier I think, but it is not a must. Run the van for a while and rev it and fill. Doing it without was pretty easy as well, just more chance of it splooshing out. I would say the more important skill is knowing how to bleed your radiator for air. I would do that after using the van for the following week - or until there is no more air in the rad. With the right wrench, you can bleed it without taking off the grille. Tom
